My job as a photographer/cinematographer is to make the viewer become apart of what is going. My images should captivate and evoke a response. Its not about spraying and praying you get a great image, its about creating the image with patience and anticipation. This image was captured at APFC: Revenge between Brian Booth vs Tom Angeloff 185lb , Booth won by decision. follow a @scalesoffmedia.com soffm.com Copyright © 2013 Scales Off Media, all rights reserved.

Go Pro Announce Hero 3+
I was close the other month, I really was. But then I held off and it seems holding off was the right thing as Go Pro does what every other camera company seems to love doing right now. Yep, they release a new version of a camera not long after a previous model has hit the shelves and jumped in our hands.
The new Hero 3+ though boasts an even smaller size and yet more settings which give better quality video in some other conditions like low light. I’ve yet to get my hands on one but I think an upgrade is overdue and I’ll be purchasing one relatively soon.
I’ve only really ever utilised mine for a few novelty shots in my productions, and an upcoming release actually has an opening shot filmed on an original go pro. But in light of this new camera I think I’ll be using mine a lot more, especially on my travels for personal use. Not surprisingly a lot of television productions have been using the camera for up close and personal encounters (I’ve even seen countryfile on BBC1 utilising the device. Not that I am an avid watcher of that show. Really).
Take a look at some of the specs below for yourself and decide if this unit is for you (zoom in on your browser if your resolution is set to ant mode - aka tiny fonts).

"Anyone can learn to use equipment to capture an image, just as anyone can learn to cook. But you don’t want to cook the same dishes that everyone else does. Learn to take photographs the way truly fine chefs develop their signature dishes. Train your eyes to see with your heart, listen to your subjects, and then create images that are unique. " - Joe Buissink
Joe Buissink made a point in his book, Wedding Photography from the Heart, about getting to know your equipment.
